There are five steps to getting your Thai ED visa.
- Enroll with LinguaPlus for a minimum three-month course
- LinguaPlus will apply for a visa letter from the Ministry of Education
- You apply for the ED visa at an embassy outside Thailand
- The Ministry of Education certifies your enrollment
- You obtain 90 day extensions at Thai immigration for however long you study with us. This costs about 2,000 Baht each time, but you don’t need to make ‘visa runs’.
LinguaPlus can help students get an ED visa to stay in Thailand for periods of 90 days up to a year or more.
- If you book a course with us before travelling to Thailand, you can also apply for your visa outside Thailand. LinguaPlus will provide a letter to support your application at a consulate or embassy. You will be able to get a 90-day visa, which can be extended once you arrive in Phuket.
- If you are already in Thailand, then you need to get some documents from us and a letter from the local education office to present at a consulate or embassy outside Thailand. You should apply for a change from tourist or ‘B’ to an ‘ED’ visa.
The documents we’ll need are:
- passport
- passport photo
- school documents (license and letter)
- receipt for your course from our school
- the completed application form
We need a 50% course deposit and a copy of your passport to start the application process. We’ll also need some personal details, such as your job, your address, your parents’ names, and your monthly budget in Thailand.
Students are responsible for payment of all visa fees
